In Bungie’s Marathon universe, the Introducing Traxus contract is ONI’s gateway to unlocking the Traxus faction. The mission unfolds on the Dire Marsh map, which is one of the game’s largest and most hazardous battlegrounds.

Like any good hunt, this liaison contract tests your nerve, ammo reserves, and crew coordination. Expect ruthless players and UESC opposition as you chase three objectives in a single run, all while the clock tries to rattle your plan.

Marathon Introducing Traxus walkthrough

Here’s how the run shakes out and what you stand to gain when you seal the deal.

  1. Spawn into Dire Marsh at one of three hubs — Intersection, Complex, or Bio-Research — and pick the closest to your drop. If you spawn at Intersection, remember central position means more runners may pass by and noise will travel fast.
  2. Find a dark blue UESC terminal in your chosen hub and interact with it to summon UESC reinforcements. Be ready for a fight as they drop in.
  3. Tackle the UESC Commander that arrives and loot the Shipping Manifest they leave behind. Picking up the manifest starts a three‑minute timer for the next step.
  4. Within the time limit, locate the nearby stacked shipping container, a large white unit perched atop another. A waypoint helps, but you are looking for the face that matches the QR pattern and the CRGO tag.
  5. Climb to the container face, scan it when prompted, and you have completed the liaison. The container is hauled away by a dropship and you exfil to claim your rewards.

Exfil after handing in the contract to ONI and you will walk away with credits, weapon attachments, and a Bully SMG, one of Marathon’s dependable workhorses. This victory also unlocks Traxus related content, including access to their Armory, priority contracts such as Cutthroat Competition, and upgrades and rank‑up rewards if you keep playing along with their requests.
