Glass in Pokopia is a crafting material used for building elements like windows and doors, and it pairs with the smelting furnace to turn basic inputs into usable glass for a variety of recipes.
Here’s how to pull it off efficiently and with the right setup.
1. Gather sand or volcanic ash
You need one block of sand or ash per piece of glass. Regular sand and beach sand both work, and volcanic ash is common in rocky regions after eruptions. Sand is plentiful along coastlines such as Bleak Beach and nearby areas like Withered Wastleand.
2. Find a Burn Specialty Pokémon
With materials in hand, enlist a Pokémon with Burn Specialty. Practically this means a Fire-type companion, including Growlithe, Charmander, Magmar, Vulpix, Torchic, and others. Have that Pokémon follow you for the next step.
3. Use the smelting furnace
A smelting furnace is used to turn raw materials into glass in Pokopia. You can find one in the mines of Rocky Ridges or craft one if you have the recipe. Interact with the furnace and dump up to 99 blocks of sand or ash. The interface will show that glass is being produced and your Burn Specialty Pokémon will be assigned to the task. After you exit the furnace, your Pokémon will begin producing the glass. The process takes several minutes per piece, so plan accordingly if you’re making a stack.
