Duckweed DIY: what you actually need
Duckweed is a pretty yet picky plant in Pokopia, and coaxing it into the world takes a pinch of kitchen creativity.
First you need to power up the Leafage ability with a simple salad. In the Rocky Ridges area you unlock a chopping board and gather two leaves. On the chopping board you combine the leaves to make a salad that powers Leafage.
With Leafage powered up, you can do more than plant a few things. You can hold down the ZR button to plant four tiles at once, and Leafage can be used on rocks, walls, and water.
Water works: growing duckweed on water
Applying your enhanced Leafage to water will spawn duckweed. It can be a tad temperamental if you’ve designed your own waterscape, but in standard water sources it should appear automatically when Leafage is powered up.
Moving duckweed: not there yet
As of now, there is no way to pick up or relocate duckweed in Pokopia. The Rototiller ability doesn’t affect it, and using Cut simply turns it into leaves.
