Trailer drop and the obvious teases

Marvel released the first footage of Spider-Man: Brand New Day on March 18. Tom Holland unveiled the trailer from the Empire State Building at sunrise to underline the whole brand new day idea. Fans point out that the editing and staging of the sequence resemble team-up moments from previous Spider-Man movies, and that has only added fuel to the speculation.

Charlie Cox says he is not in the film

While promoting the upcoming season of Daredevil, Charlie Cox was asked directly about the movie and told Jimmy Kimmel: "If I was in the movie I would also say no to be clear, but I’m not in the movie. I could be lying, but I’m not." His reply did not convince everyone. Many viewers remain skeptical.

The Hand are a core part of Daredevil lore and featured heavily in the previous series, so their presence in New York naturally invites comparison.
