Ustica: families urge judge not to close the case, say DC9 was shot down during an episode of aerial warfare
Relatives of the 81 victims, led by Daria Bonfietti, will ask a Rome judge to refuse a prosecutors' request to archive the 1980 Ustica crash case. They point to a 450-page filing that echoes past findings that the DC9 was downed amid military activity and cites new leads involving NATO, French and US aircraft and the carrier Foch.
