The World of Warcraft patch 12.0.7 release time is the key detail players need before stepping into Midnight: Revelations, the next chapter in Blizzard Entertainment’s Void storyline. Azeroth has survived plenty of world-ending threats, but players still need to plan around maintenance windows.
Patch 12.0.7 moves the Midnight campaign forward and gives players more to do, whether they prefer coordinated group runs or solo sessions. It also introduces a new rune-based progression system, fresh activities, and a single-boss raid built around a fungal giant.
When does patch 12.0.7 go live?
Blizzard has scheduled maintenance for World of Warcraft: Midnight patch 12.0.7 on different days depending on region.
For servers in the Americas, maintenance begins on Tuesday, June 16 at 10 a.m. EDT. Blizzard expects the downtime to last eight hours, which puts the game’s return at 6 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, June 16.
For European servers, maintenance begins on Wednesday, June 17 at 3 a.m. CEST. With the same expected eight-hour downtime, the patch should be playable at 11 a.m. CEST on Wednesday, June 17.
As always, maintenance can shift if something goes wrong on Blizzard’s end. Players should treat these times as Blizzard’s current plan, not a hard guarantee.
Americas server release times
For players on Americas servers, patch 12.0.7 is expected to go live at the following local times:
- 3:00 p.m. PDT on Tuesday, June 16 for the west coast of North America
- 6:00 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, June 16 for the east coast of North America
- 7:00 p.m. BRT on Tuesday, June 16 for Brazil
- 8:00 a.m. AEST on Wednesday, June 17 for the east coast of Australia
The Australia timing reflects the regional server schedule tied to the Americas maintenance window, so the calendar rolls over into Wednesday there.
Europe server release times
For players on European servers, patch 12.0.7 is expected to arrive at:
- 10:00 a.m. BST on Wednesday, June 17 for the United Kingdom
- 11:00 a.m. CEST on Wednesday, June 17 for western Europe
That gives European players a daytime launch, if maintenance stays on track. It’s a decent hour, at least by MMO standards.
What is new in Midnight: Revelations?
Revelations continues the fight against the Void, which remains very much present despite everyone’s repeated efforts to make it stop being everyone’s problem. The patch advances the main story and adds systems that give players more to do between major story beats.
A key addition is the Omnium Folio, a magical artifact tied to a new power system. Players unlock it after helping Magister Umbric and Grand Magister Rommath restore the Sunstrider Omnium. Once unlocked, the Omnium Folio gives players powerful abilities that shape their builds.
Players do not get those abilities right away. Players need to complete the weekly quest Seeking Knowledge to unlock them, adding another recurring task to the familiar World of Warcraft routine of progress, rewards, and carefully managed obligations.
What group and solo activities are included?
Patch 12.0.7 adds a new single-boss raid encounter featuring Rotmire, a fungal giant. The fight will be available on Normal, Heroic, and Mythic difficulties, giving organized groups another target to study, wipe on, and eventually claim was easy all along.
The update also adds a new activity similar in structure to delves, but with a different setup. Instead of entering traditional dungeon spaces, players use a portal to travel to Val or Naigtal, two new zones where they can confront leaders of the Void.
To unlock access to this portal, players must first speak with Riftblade Maella in Silvermoon City. Completing these missions and other special objectives rewards Field Accolades, a new currency that can be exchanged for cosmetic rewards, including transmogs and housing decor.
Quality-of-life changes and final prep
Alongside the larger content additions, Revelations includes quality-of-life updates for raid frames and damage meters. These are the kind of changes that may not dominate a patch trailer but can matter a great deal once a fight becomes chaotic and the party’s survival depends on reading the screen correctly.
Before maintenance begins, players may want to clear inventory space, finish any time-sensitive tasks, and decide which mount deserves the honor of carrying them into the next phase of the Void problem. It is not required, strictly speaking, but style remains one of Azeroth’s few stable institutions.
