Trump takes aim at Springsteen

Donald Trump has launched a fresh attack on Bruce Springsteen, calling the rock star a "loser" who "looks like a dried-up prune" and describing him as a "very boring" singer with what he said was the work of "a bad plastic surgeon".

In a post aimed at his MAGA base, Trump said Springsteen was "a loser spreading hate against a president who won in a landslide, including the popular vote, all seven swing states and 86% of the counties in the country." He then urged supporters to "boycott his expensive concerts" and "save the hard-earned money" they made.

Why Springsteen is in the line of fire

Springsteen was in Minneapolis in recent days for the No Kings protests, where he sharply criticized Trump. That appearance appears to have given the president another target, because apparently even a protest and a rock concert now qualify as political weather.

The exchange adds another round to the long-running feud between Trump and one of the country’s best-known musicians, who has repeatedly spoken out against the president.
