Phone call between Putin and Erdogan

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan agreed on the need for an immediate ceasefire in the Persian Gulf during a phone conversation held on Friday.

The Kremlin, cited by Tass, said the two leaders discussed the situation and reached the shared view that hostilities should stop without delay.

It was a brief statement, which is often how major international tensions get treated when no one wants to say too much and everyone wants to say enough.
