Riot Games has dropped the schedule and venue details for two of the biggest events on the League of Legends calendar in 2026. After First Stand in Brazil, the international season continues with MSI in South Korea and Worlds returning to North America. Below is a clear run down of where, when, who, and how to get tickets.

MSI 2026: Daejeon, dates, and what changed

MSI 2026 will be held in Daejeon, South Korea, at the Daejeon Convention Center II. The tournament runs from June 28 to July 12, with the event split into play-ins and a multi-day bracket stage.

  • Play-in Stage: June 28 to July 1
  • Bracket Stage: July 3 to 6 and July 8 to 12
  • Key playoff dates: Upper Final on July 9, Lower Final on July 11, Grand Final on July 12

A total of 11 teams will compete. That includes two teams each from the LCK, LCS, LEC, LPL, and LCP, plus one team from CBLOL. Riot kept most of last years overall structure but modified the Play-In Stage.

Play-In changes

The Play-Ins will now be a four-team double-elimination bracket. Only one team from that bracket will advance to the main Bracket Stage. The other seven teams will skip Play-Ins entirely. Those seven include each regions first seed and several second seeds chosen based on performance at First Stand.

Worlds 2026: North America tour, dates, and format notes

Worlds 2026 will take place across multiple U.S. cities from October 15 to November 14. The event begins with Play-Ins in Los Angeles and moves to Allen, Texas for the Swiss and Knockout stages, before ending with the Grand Final in Brooklyn, New York.

  • Play-In Stage in Los Angeles at the Riot Games Arena: October 15 to 18
  • Swiss Stage in Allen, Texas at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center: October 23 to 26 and October 28 to 31
  • Knockout Stage in Allen: November 3 to 8
  • Grand Final at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York: November 14

Worlds will feature 19 teams. The slots include three teams from each major region, two teams from CBLOL, the MSI champion, and one additional spot awarded to the region that finished as the second-best at MSI.

Worlds Play-Ins and seeding

The Play-In Stage at Worlds follows a similar adjustment to MSI. Four teams will compete in a double-elimination best-of-five bracket, and just one of those teams will move on to the Swiss Stage. Regional seeding and a few other details have been updated compared to 2025, but the main structure remains familiar.

Tickets for Worlds

Riot expects Worlds ticket sales to begin in mid-to-late July. More specific sale windows and any pre-sales will be announced closer to that time.

If you plan to attend either event, now is a good time to note the dates and ticket windows so you do not miss the sales. Expect more announcements from Riot as they release venue maps and session details.
