Blizzard appears to be testing player interest in a big wave of potential Overwatch crossovers. A recent survey sent to players in China included a long list of anime and video game properties that the studio is apparently thinking about.
What the survey revealed
The questionnaire asked players which collaborations they would like to see in Overwatch. The responses on the survey page included a range of well known anime and manga, plus several major video game franchises.
Anime and manga on the list
- One Piece
- Demon Slayer
- Naruto
- Cyberpunk: Edgerunners
- Jujutsu Kaisen
- JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
- Chiikawa
- Saint Seiya
- Powerpuff Girls
Video games mentioned
- Devil May Cry
- Elden Ring
- Resident Evil
- Ace Attorney
Those are the franchises the survey listed as possible options. That does not mean any of them are locked in. Surveys are often used to measure interest before studios try to secure rights and partnerships.
Why this matters and what to expect
Overwatch has a history of high profile collaborations. In the past year the game received themed skins tied to other notable properties, showing Blizzard is willing to pursue crossovers that fit the game. The survey suggests the team is still scouting potential partners.
However, inclusion on a survey is not a promise. Game companies frequently ask players about many options, some of which never reach release because of licensing issues, low interest, or other hurdles. Similar surveys have appeared for other live service titles and some ideas never move forward.
Could we see these crossovers soon?
Blizzard has several major Overwatch updates planned through 2026. That timeline means some crossover content could appear if deals are made. For now the survey is the strongest sign we have that Blizzard is exploring lots of directions for future collaborations.
If you are excited by the thought of characters from those shows and games appearing in Overwatch, keep an eye on official announcements. The survey shows intent, not confirmed releases.
